Special Needs & Moving On projectsThe Special Needs and Moving On Projects provide resources and support for workers at the post office whose children have disabilities. The projects are available to members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and the Union of Postal Communications Employees (Public Service Alliance of Canada). The Special Needs Project is geared to families with young children; the Moving On Project is for adult sons and daughters with special needs. Family Village

family_villageWebsite provides a global community that integrates information, resources, and communication opportunities on the Internet for persons with cognitive and other disabilities, for their families, and for those that provide them services and support. The Village includes informational resources on specific diagnoses, communication connections,

adaptive products and technology, adaptive recreational activities, education, worship, health issues, disability-related media and literature, and much more!

Of special interest: Discussion boards on a variety of topics as well as message boards according to diagnosis, specific procedures and geographic location.
